Questions
Direct Proportion:
Simply we say that the direct equality of two ratio is called Proportion.
let say : If a, b, c, d are in proportion then mathematically it can be written as
a:b::c:d
=> a/b=c/d
Example: If the price of 12 eggs is 96. How many eggs can be bought with Rs. 80.
so we write as:
Similarly, greater should be above such like in example, we wrote 96 at nominator and 80 at denominator , and 12 at nominator and x at denominator.
then we let get Cross Multiplication
=> x= (12*80)/96
=> x= 10 Ans
Inverse Proportion:
Where one quantity decreases while other increases and vice versa.
Example: If 10 men have ration for 20 days in camp. If 7 men in this camp the ration with same quantity remains for how many days.
So as above example, we have.
men days
10 21
7 x
so have we have inverse proportion , then 10 decrease to 7, while 21 increase to x
10/7=x/21 by Cross multiplication........
So simplifing
=> x=30Ans
Composite Proportion:
Example:
If 34 labor sdig 805 cubic m. in 6 hours, how much of earth will 30 lbrs dig in 6 hrs.
